Girls Camp

Our Girls Camp theme this year was "Write your own story". I made each of the girls a journal for one of their pillow gifts.  I thought since I have already done the work, I might as well share! I have all the quotes that I used saved, just leave me a message and I can forward them to you, and send you the links where I found them.  Hope your YW girls love them too!
On the cover I used a "write your own story" stamp I bought off Etsy. I purchased the blank Board Books from "Bare Books" online.

The journal prompt says "A place to record a special time when the spirit testified to my heart." The Christ picture is a Pass along card.
Inside the envelope was a letter from their parents.

 Journal prompts for Building character...

A place to keep a copy of their patriarichal blessing
Journal prompt for Future dreams, where they see themselves in 5, 10, 20 years

Summer 2010

We went hiking up High Creek Canyon. My cute Grandpa pulled over on the way up and showed the kids how he catches fish with his bare hands! It was pretty neat to watch.

We had a great time at the Air show in Idaho!

BEAR LAKE
We had a great time spending the day at the lake. The weather was perfect and the company was wonderful! Thanks Heather and Emily! And yes...that is a boobie poking out of Ellies suit. I put it on her for the first time and ~ SURPRISE~! I couldn't believe that it was cut like that! Too funny.

JENSEN HISTORICAL FARM
The kids got to milk the cow, gather the eggs, feed the chicks, ride a pony & train, pan for gold and learn to throw the tomahawk! This place was so much fun. There was hardly anyone else there so we had the place to ourselves. We got to see some adorable baby animals and had a great day. We didn't get to do this in L.A! haha!

On the countdown

With only a couple weeks left to go I am having such mixed emotions...
I am scared of the actual Labor, scared to think of how in the world I am going to have a 2 year old and a newborn plus 2 boys that are at each other all day long (school being out soon should bring even more action around this house)! I look at all these "supermoms" that are doing it and make it look so effortless, and I just cross my fingers that some how I'll survive the next few months, let alone be doing it "super"!!
On the other hand...
I am pretty excited to have this little one out! Laying in bed exhausted, but unable to fall asleep, at 2 am because of indigestion is getting a little old. Along with a pinched nerve that likes to keep paying a visit, a achy belly, having no clothes that fit quite right etc etc. You all know the fun things that happen at 9 months along! And then comments that make you feel extra great about how you are looking, like this:

"I feel just like you look."
"Hows that?"
"FAT!"

Oh the joys of pregnancy...........
Its a good thing these little babies are so sweet and loveable! It makes it all worth it.

Happy Birthday Ellie!

My baby is 2! Where did that time go?! Ellie was born in Pasadena on Easter Sunday. We chose her name in honor of her great-grandma Eleanor. And the day she was born happened to be her Great-great grandma Ella's birthday as well. So that was really neat. Ellie has been such a little sweetheart to have in our family. She loves her big brothers and tries her very best to fit in as one of the boys. She doesn't want me to do her hair, won't play with dolls & has no idea who any of the "princesses" are. She does like to push her new stroller around the house, but only if there is no baby in it! She has a major crush on Luigi. Her favorite birthday present was her Nintendo pj's (just like Cole and Carsons). She cried and cried unless I let her wear them over her clothes during the day. I had to laugh the other day as I thought about how I was so excited to have a little girl to dress all up, do her hair cute and all that fun stuff. And there I was walking around the store with Ellie in her Mario pj's, her hair a total mess holding a Luigi toy! She is too funny. Ellie has these dark brown eyes that just melt my heart and loves to sing the "I love you" song from Barney with each other. She loves her daddy and gets so excited to see him when he comes home from work. And her brothers are her best friends. We are so blessed to have her! Happy Birthday Ellie!

I am having a great time tricking Bryan that I am posting some awesome pictures of him on here. He is all wound up, and I am having a great laugh. When actually, sorry to disappoint, but all you are going to see is a couple of pics that I have actually managed to take latley. I have been terrible about remembering to take my camera with me!

The boys woke up early and went right downstairs to finish playing their Wii game. They were so excited to have beat this level, that they had to have me take their picture.

Every morning Ellie has to put some sort of "costume" on. She comes walking out looking hilarious all the time. Its either the fireman hat, the coon skin fur hat, swim goggles, the boys underwear.........

Playing in the backyard

A little backyard football with some buddies

So I can't get these 2 little guys to be friends during the day. They argue and constantly fight. And then bedtime comes around.... and suddenly they can't get enough of each other. They are in their room laughing and talking, having a great old time. So the other night, I walk in to see Carson sitting up on Coles bunk and he looks and me innocently and says,"What mom? We're just having fun!?" I think these are two smart little cookies who have figured out how to get away with staying up late! I am just so happy to see them being friends and playing together that they know that it melts my heart and I can't be mad! Now if I could only get them to play like this during the day......

Cruise Pics...

We went on a cruise for our 10 year anniversary. We had a blast! It was a long overdue getaway. Here are a couple pics...
Thanks Dad, for letting Bryan borrow this "cool" cruise shirt that he kept trying to wear! I will get even somehow...

We snorkled right out here (Lovers Beach in Cabo). It was so amazing!
